About RJ’s Isle & Anchor

RJ’s Isle & Anchor is a Caribbean luxury boutique born from a shared life, a shared love of fashion, and a long-held dream of living and working in the Caribbean.

The name RJ is personal. R stands for Rick Langley, and J stands for John Sessa — partners in life and business for over sixteen years. Together, they have traveled the world, built companies, and always returned to two constants that have shaped their journey: fashion and the Caribbean.

From Los Angeles to the Caribbean

Before RJ’s Isle & Anchor existed, John and Rick shared a life rooted in creativity, entrepreneurship, and global exploration. Early in their relationship, they left Los Angeles for a summer and rented a small house on the beach in Cancún, Mexico. Sitting by the sea, they made a promise to one another: one day, they would build a life and a series of businesses in the Caribbean — living and working in paradise.

That promise became a compass.

Dr. John Sessa is a sustainability expert and luxury brand strategist with 20+ years of experience in fashion and hospitality. He founded Sessa Design and Sourcing, serving over 50 luxury resorts in the Caribbean, and actively supports global initiatives focused on purpose-driven impact.

Rick Langley is an investor and entrepreneur with 30+ years in international business and venture growth. He is the founder of MRVL Skin and Today’s Promises, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting orphaned children worldwide.
